WARNING: Not a Novel (you're welcome!)

Hi friends and family,

Okay I don't have a ton of time so this will be a quick version of the week
Today was concilio (leadership council) and as always it was amazing! It was super weird to think that this is Hermana Shaffer's (my trainer) last. She is going home on the February 18th (yes I do remember that that's my parent's anniversary) transfer along with 2 other sister trainer leaders. I am going to miss them all so much but especially her. It's weird to think how fast the time has gone by since she and I became companions on May 1st. Crazy! Anyway, back to concilio:

So this week we had to move back Josef's date for baptism to February 8th because he is out of town this weekend but he is still very excited about getting baptized and Kofi is even more so. In fact we had to make sure with Josef one on one if he was doing this for him or for Kofi but he said he is doing this because he really wants to change his life and he wants to be baptized.

Familia Lopes on the other hand... we taught them the word of wisdom on Tuesday which we were super worried about because we already knew they didn't agree with it but it actually went okay and they committed to live it however we weren't able to visit them again this week so we knew we were going to have to push back their baptism but unfortunately last night when we visited them they said that they just don't want to be baptized right now, they do in the future but that they came to this country for school and church is just not what is important right now. It was super hard and we will still continue to visit them once a week to read the book of mormon with them because we know that as they really develop the habit of reading it the desire to be baptized and become a part of this will come.

Altagracia is also progressing super well. She loves everything! We taught her the word of wisdom and law of chastity and everything made perfect sense to her and she is really excited to get baptized. The issue is that she is out of town every weekend but we are hoping she got the address for the church in the place she goes and that she was able to go yesterday. If so she can get baptized the 8th as well if not we'll have to push it back.
Harry has a baptismal date as well for the 8th (because we are having a countrywide conference this weekend so we can't have baptisms until the 8th) and he seems to be doing really well. Every lesson we have with him goes great.

Last thing: Languages, this week I have learned a little bit of Russian from the cutest member family (who part are inactives) and albanian from a member and his friend who we are teaching. I love missions, you meet so many cool people from all around the world with such interesting backgrounds.

Well I think those are the main things that happened. Still super happy and just loving life here in Barcelona.

Hermana Tuttle

P.S. the Mujeres Jovenes had Nuevos Comienzos (New Beginnings) this week. Made me miss Young Womens so bad
